School of Public Health

Public Health website
The School of Public Health is an integral part of two leading medical and academic institutions - the Hadassah Medical Center and the Hebrew University. The School has a well-deserved reputation for excellence due to its top academic staff and the high level of its seminars and training courses. Its graduates hold key positions in the health systems in Israel and across the world. The School successfully passed an on-site inspection by ASPHER, the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region. The World Health Organization (WHO) recently accepted the School of Public Health as one of its members. This is the first time that an Israeli institution has received such recognition, and it is fitting that the Hebrew University and Hadassah School of Public Health is continuing the pioneering tradition for which the two institutions are renowned.
The Israeli MPH program which was established in 1962 has seen 800 Israeli graduates.
The School of Public Health has a one year MPH course for foreign students. To date, 750 students have completed this course, and are now employed in key positions within their countries and in international health organizations. In addition, tens of graduates have completed their PhD studies, while numerous others have undertaken post-graduate work.
The School has three main streams: epidemiology, medical management and health economics, and community health, and it now offers a new MSc program for clinical epidemiology.
The School is currently expanding into fields including terror medicine and preparation for multi-victim incidents, women's health, and communications. These additional directions will enable the Hebrew University and Hadassah School of Public Health to meet contemporary medical requirements.
